Your Statutory Rights
Customers purchasing advertising within The Phone Book.co.uk have statutory rights and should except the product to be as described:
Prominent electronic adverts based on number searches of the OSIS database supplied under licence from British Telecom Contact (BT).
Customers confirm, in relation to this agreement entered into for the purchase of the service that they are acting in a business capacity and not ‘deal as a customer’ for the purpose of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 s.17 and the Consumer Credit Act 2006 does not apply. If you believe you are not acting in a business capacity but as a customer you should contact us immediately the contact details are in the welcome letter.

Advertising Period
This is a rolling agreement where the phone book system automatically generate 12 month terms (except where promotions apply), unless written notice, under the standard “required notice period” of 30 days, is given at month 11 of each given advertising period, with invoices produced accordingly
If no notice is received we will automatically raise an invoice for a further year. If a credit or debit card is on file with us, you agree that we are entitled to automatically take payment via that device. Where a credit or debit card has expired we reserve the right to automatically change the expiry date.
If payment is not received via this process we will raise an invoice and reserve the right to pursue any outstanding invoice through the appropriate legal channels.
You agree that any package of ours purchased under a promotion at a discount price for the first year will be charged at the full current price for all subsequent years as set out on the price list. The price list is available on the web-site.

The Phone Book.co.uk will be aggressively marketed at all times and except in unforeseen circumstances Thephonebook.co.uk will provide service of the highest standard 24 hours per day 365 days a year maintaining free directory enquiry number searches to all site users.

You hereby appoint us to act on your behalf in relation to the provision of this service.

Our Service Obligations
We warrant we will make reasonable endeavours to ensure that the service is provided as described in the website but because the service is provided by means of internet servers and telecommunication systems we make no warrant in relation to the service being uninterrupted or error free.
Calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.
No oral advice or written information given by us, our employees, agents, licensor or the likes shall create a warrant nor shall you relay on any information or advice.

The Customer Right to cancel
Once the advert has been published on The Phone Book.co.uk this agreement cannot be cancelled.
There is no 14 day cooling off period with this service.
The payment is non-refundable once the advert is published.

The Phone Book.co.uk right to cancel adverts
We reserve the right to cancel adverts that are both offensive and distasteful at any time.
We reserve the right to cancel orders which are found to be fraudulent and take legal action where deemed appropriate.
We reserve the right to charge a daily interest charge for any late payment of outstanding balances based on the bank base rate of the National Westminster Bank.

Payment Terms
Thephonebook.co.uk operates a strict 14 day payment policy, all late invoice payments are automatically passed over to a designated collection agency (except where credit card payments are taken at the point of sale). All credit offered is subject to status
In the event of any invoice in respect of service being unpaid we reserve the right to suspend or cancel the service. Suspension of service will not remove your liability to pay any charges that are due and payable on your account at the date of termination. In addition we will have the right to charge interest.
If you have agreed for reoccurring payments to be taken by credit/ debit card instalments, your credit/debit card will be debited as agreed until the balance outstanding has been cleared.
If you agree to pay by direct debit, your account will be debited as agreed until the balance outstanding has been cleared. If the amounts to be paid or the payment dates change we will notify you 7 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed.

We may at any time revise these terms and conditions without notice.  Please check regularly.  Continued use of The Phonebook.co.uk website after a change has been made is your acceptance of change.
